Oh, and!

Hoops, Outside the Blacksmith's Shop, Old Sturbridge Village
Oh, and finding beauty in unusual places...the old, rundown, forgotten, broken, decaying...that's another reason I make photographs.

  1. This is something I'd be attracted to myself!

  2. I find beauty in all of that too! I think it's celebrating the cycles and contrasts of life - yin/yang, light/dark, new/old. Our culture celebrates the new and perfect so much, it's nice to find beauty in other places. Love it!!

  3. This is something I need to think more about. I find myself resisting taking pictures of things that are not all shiny yet I am drawn to them so I think I will take some different types of pictures and see what happens.

  5. I too love that element! Finding the beauty in the overlooked...so many times I've been asked by strangers what I'm photographing since they don't 'see' anything. Occasionally someone's eyes will light up and they'll pull out a hidden camera to capture their own shot. I then feel like I'm walking on air. :-)
